Kentucky Derby Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes as a tribute to the Kentucky Derby. I hope/plan to visit Louisville, KY for the Derby in 2011 or 2012. It's definitely on my "bucket list". I just can't wait to experience Churchill Downs in a gorgeous dress and funky oversized hat!

I am super proud of these cupcakes for multiple reasons. 1. It was a collaborative team effort between myself & the Amazing Ryan Tindall 2. They are BEAUTIFUL 3. The photographer [Eric] made the cupcakes look like an ad in Southern Living And 4. Not only does the "mint julep" frosting and bourbon butter glaze taste OH SO good- it is the perfect treat for Derby day!
